MLS Pre-Season

New York Red Bulls – After his return from Sweden, Atiba Charles planned to join the New York Red Bulls’ pre-season camp. The central defender, however, is currently rehabbing his knee after a minor injury while on trial in Sweden. Atiba has returned to Trinidad and Tobago to work with trainers in preparation for returning to the United States.

San Jose Earth Quakes – Ryan Solle has just reported to pre-season with the San Jose Earthquakes. The Earthquakes have returned to their home stadium after training in L.A. and are gearing up for two pre-season matches against the Houston Dynamo. The first game will be on February 13th, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at PAL Stadium in San Jose. The second game will be on February 16th, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.

Chicago Fire – Osei Teleford and Adrian Bumbut have settled down in Florida for Chicago Fire’s pre-season training camp. The Chicago Fire began its 2008 pre-season with two scrimmages over the weekend against the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team and the University of South Florida at the IMG Academies facility in Bradenton, Fla. The fire came out ahead in both matches with a 3-1 win over the U-17 Men’s National team and a 2-1 win over the University of South Florida.

Houston Dynamo – Corbin Waller, goalkeeper from the University of Charleston, has been asked to stay on with the Houston Dynamo for the remainder of their pre-season camp. The Dynamo is traveling to take on the San Jose Earthquakes this week and will continue on to train in Hawaii after their pre-season showdown in California.

 FC Dallas – Scott Jones, who spent last season with FCD (FC Dallas), has returned to Dallas for pre-season training.  Seeking a full roster starting position, the Dallas native has been aggressively showcasing his skills and off-season fitness training.  Dallas is training at home during pre-season and has a number of pre-season matches lined up.
