Osei Telesford Scores
April 28, 2008

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, April 28, 2008 Determined to not let the rain slow them down, the Puerto Rico Islanders once again took on Miami FC last night finishing the match with a 3-1 victory over the visitors. Each team battled to a 1-1 score at the end of the first half.

Osei Telesford stated, “Sure the conditions were rough but we pressed on and kept our focus.”

Each team remained scoreless until the 76th minute when Osei Telesford netted the ball after a scramble inside the box.

An MLF Sports Representative stated, “Osei always shows great resolve no matter the conditions. He is one of the greatest combinations of toughness and technical skill I have ever seen.”

Osei’s goal helped secure the Islanders first win and hopefully provides the spark needed to move the team to the top of the fixtures.

2-2 Trinidad and Tobago Result
March 27, 2008

KINGSTON, March 26 (Reuters) – Trinidad & Tobago staged a late rally to wipe out a two-goal deficit and earn a 2-2 draw at Jamaica in a friendly international on Wednesday.

The home side went ahead when captain Marlon King, who plays for English Premier League strugglers Wigan Athletic, curled the ball into the net from the edge of the penalty area in the 32nd minute.

Defender Tyrone Marshall added the second in the 38th minute, four minutes after having another effort disallowed for offside, as Jamaica made light of the absence of English-based Ricardo Gardner and Ricardo Fuller.

The under-strength Soca Warriors, in their second game under former Colombia coach Francisco Maturana, pulled one back in the 75th minute when substitute Osei Telesford scored with a powerful shot past Dwayne Kerr from the edge of the box.

Trinidad equalised in the 90th minute when midfielder Aurtis Whitley curled a shot past Kerr from 22 metres. (Reporting by Horace Helps; Editing by John O’Brien)
